I am the person who was having the corrupt download problems. You are probably right in the fact that it might not be the torrent files themselves, because I just realized that I am getting this problem while extracting the files. I do not know what software I am extracting with, but it is whatever is default for Windows Vista. After the torrent is finished, I just press the extract all files button on the tool bar in that particular window. I believe I am extracting from My Documents or something like that.

I have unzipped the file myself and got no such error message. I conclude that the zip file may have been corrupted during uploading or downloading.
I am uploading it again so that maybe you will get an uncorrupted version. It takes a long time to upload the file, but it should be available for download again by a little in just a couple minutes.
I'll post here to let you know when it is ready for download again. You will be able to download it from the same place as before, but the URL of the link will be slightly different.

If that doesn't work, the problem may somehow already be in the zip file before I upload it, but others have already downloaded it and used it so that seems unlikely.
I don't have time to redo the zip file before the game session today and by next session we will have a different version anyway.

For everyone who is going to be there, meet in Port Town. Do NOT go to Dark Lands. There is a bug in the software that will crash the server if you do.
We are pretty sure we know how to fix it but there isn't time and everybody would have to download a new version of the software.

Hi, I downloaded the client fine today. I just tried logging on at 3:05pm PST and I got a No server Response error. I just read that you are having technical difficulties, so I will stay tuned.

The server is now up and running, but I should have warned you guys. Do not create any kind of monster character. When you get to the pit, do not go near the sword or the tree. Do not go to Darklands. All of these will crash the server.

I'm not sure if we've solved the problem or not. We've got the server running and one computer logged in. Can you guys try to log in again and tell me what happens when you.

I logged in and created a character. I didn't know I was in a pit until I approached this shiny looking sword that booted me from the game. So, uh yeah, sorry guys.

That can be tricky. You know that after you create a new character you then have to select him again before clicking login, right?

Okay, so some of these problems were on our end and I think I worked them out. At least one of the problems was caused by Nate going to the sword. I'll reboot the game server and that will solve that on this end.
Nate, you now need to delete that character and start over. Stay away from the sword and the tree and no monster characters for right now.

Can you move me away from the sword please. I tried logging in and got the "cannot find model 001" (I think) error message. I think it is trying to load me in at the spot that made me crash.
