The Battle of Sheep Island was really only
a skirmish between two very small forces,
but it ended the occupation of the island by
Ogre Raiders and allowed Garon, Lord of
Sheep Island, to reclaim independence from
the Realm of Azmar so it is an important event.
There's only two screenshots here and both
are from right before the battle started. Sorry,
but I was too busy fighting to take screenshots
once the battle actually started. Those Ogre
Raiders were a lot tougher than the wild ogres
of Worfin.
This first picture shows Lord Garon and his force
on top of Sheep Hill looking down on the ogre
camp below Tower Hill. Lord Garon is the dwarf
wearing armor in the middle of the screen. To
his left is an elf named Thaero who is the
High Ranger of Azmar. Beside Thaero is a wolf
named Kyron that he tamed using a special ranger
ability that he created. Despite Thaero's allegiance
to Azmar, he fought in the battle on Lord Garon's side.
To Lord Garon's right is Beepe, the greatest healer in
the known world, senior priestess of the Fellowship
of Kraylus and leader of The Soul guild. To her right,
holding a battle axe high in the air is a human
adventurer who joined the expedition at the last
minute as they were about to leave Stondar City Harbor.
You can barely see one ogre down below just to the
right of Lord Garon.
This is the same scene from a slightly different
angle. Here you can see three ogres down below.
Fortunately for Lord Garon's forces, the ogres had
not yet detected their presence. Lord Garon
attributes his stunning victory to superior tactics
and the failure of the ogres to detect and respond
to his force quickly enough.
Lord Garon said, "They're big dumb galoots who know
nothing of strategy and tactics. That's why they're
dead and I'm the lord of Sheep Island again."
